Personal Finance Life Lessons

Below is a running list of posts on the personal finance and investing lessons I have learned (some the hard way) which I want to share. Mostly this is an extension of things I had been writing down for my children, and if you find it helpful that’s great. If you have additional ideas, or a difference of opinion feel free to drop a comment on the posts.

Why should you listen to me? Well to be honest you probably shouldn’t, you should do you own research, and apply what you learn to your own personal and financial situation. That said, I have been an active saver and investor for most of my life at this point, and I have been an active reader and learner on the topic of personal finance since I started working professionally in 1994. I’ve lived through 3 big market drops – dot com, Great Recession, and the COVID V-shaped drop – and learned a lot I hope you can benefit from.
